[email protected], the crowdsourced computing project that allows users to donate their computer’s computing power to assist researchers fight the COVID-19 pandemic, has surpassed 1 million downloads.
“We are working like mad to start simulations of COVID-19 proteins. The enthusiastic response to our effort has been tremendous and has sometimes emptied our queues,” [email protected] said in its website.
According to the [email protected] consortium, recent records show that nearly 400,000 gamers donated GPUs for the cause, which allowed them to cross the exaFLOP barrier.
