A new PC app called Spaces allows teams to participate in video conferences that are hosted in virtual reality.
From the developer of the same name, the SPACES PC VR app places the meeting host in a virtual reality environment similar to your typical office conference room and they appear as their avatar for the duration of the meeting.
The VR conference room is equipped with with a white board, white board markers, and an adjustable VR camera that the host can turn towards whatever they want the participants to see.
“This app was born during this worldwide pandemic where many of us are staying home, social distancing and trying to do our part in the fight against Covid-19,” the company explained in its website.
The SPACES VR app is currently in beta, but Spaces assures in its reddit page that it has been fully tested with Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, Skype, and Zoom. However, the developer is open to feedback for improvement that users can send through its discord community.
